Dynamos Sunday
Dynamos is for children in school years 3 & 4. We meet during the Sunday morning service where we have bible stories, pray together, have fun and help to develop our faith in Jesus. We have recently looked at the story of Jacob and thought about Easter. In the coming weeks we will be looking at David and making a worship movie. We usually have some games, do some drama or a craft activity related to our topic. We try to prayer together and sometimes get to go outside or move around the school. For more information about Sunday Dynamos please speak to
Jose Ross.
Dynamos held a cake stall in aid of FEBA radio.
Dynamos Wednesday
We also meet during the week on a Wednesday evening at Welton Chapel from 6.30pm until 7.45pm term time only. This is for children aged 6 to school year 4.
At Wednesday Dynamos, we normally begin with a craft relating to the sessions topic followed by a boisterous game to wear off some energy. We listen to our story whilst enjoying drinks and biscuits which leads to a prayer time, where we can pray and share together. We often also finish with another game in case there is any energy left!
Once a month on a Wednesday, we like to watch a DVD with popcorn and hot chocolate followed by a quiz. Each week there is the opportunity to earn stars for the star chart and sweets can be won during different stages of achievement.
Dynamos aims are:
To encourage non-church children to take steps closer to God,
to build relationships with the families of the Dynamo children
and to have fun and grow confident in their faith together.
To give you an idea of what goes on; in th epast we looked at the Bible alongside 'What's in the Bible' DVDs. We had some mystery guests, from a scientist to a shepherd and we've looked at famous sayings as well.
We usually have a garden party social to look forward to as well as summer socials with Superchargers and Voltage ready for moving on after the summer.
