After a reading by Alison, Paul considers how Jesus, who had every possible right and entitlement, put all that aside, came to this earth and died for our sin. In the same way a Christian believer should have the same attitude to his or her own rights and entitlements.

Paul reflects on from what we derive our security from. On one hand this can be the approval of our friends and peers, keeping up with the latest trend or our parents. No matter good these may be they can let us down. On the other hand there is God who has always been there and will always be there and can always be relied on.
