Staddlestones Year Book Report

Staddlestones House Group has had a good year!
Themes we have covered this last year include the Church Teaching Series on David last May and we are looking forward to the upcoming series on Moses.  We followed an On-Line resource called “Life Church TV” on Elisha which was very encouraging and we learnt some good phrases such as “burn the plough & kill the cow!” and for Christmas we used “Life Church” again to look at 3 separate Christmas Carols.  We added in a few of our own “Hot Potato” sessions on topics such as Homosexuality, Women in Leadership and The Right to Die which were all very insightful.  Our Lent course this year was based on the film Casablanca and written by Paul Kerensa who co-wrote “Miranda” and “Not Going Out” and who is also coming to NFest! A good number of us enjoyed a week end away last May at Buckland Monochorum.   We haven’t booked one this year as another good number of us are going to Hebron Hall in July which will come around very quickly!  We’re working on our bikini bodies for the swimming pool!  We had a delicious Christmas meal at Farrington Farm Shop on their Steak Night. We have welcomed a few new members to our group this year including Rich, Beth, Becky and Mark who have all been a real blessing and encouragement to us.  It was particularly brilliant to see Beth & Becky both baptised on Easter Sunday in Midsomer Norton High Street!!
One of our running themes this year is “WIGSAD?”  We have taken Scott’s challenge on Elders’ Sunday at the beginning of the year to listen to “What Is God Saying & Doing?” and we have a regular feature most weeks where we have a chance to share our “WIGSAD” moments , however big or small they may be.

Welcome

Who are we?

members
We are a church of people from all walks of life who share the common goal of following Jesus and being open about Him with others in our everyday lives. The church is vibrant with lots going on for people of all ages and backgrounds. We’re engaged in local and global mission, and passionately believe that every person has a part to play. We follow Christian Bible teaching, believing it’s through a loving relationship with Jesus Christ that we can experience life in its fullest and have the security of knowing we’ll live forever with God.

We’re part of the local Baptist Association and we are members of the Evangelical Alliance, and regularly connect with the local Churches in our area for prayer and community outreach.

Head to our 'What's on' tab to check out how you can get involved with us.

What is our vision?

We are a Church with a clear vision. It's sourced in the Bible and expressed in these simples phrases:

Coming up images
The 'how' we do these things is a bigger story and one you can learn about by checking out other pages on our site. God has called each of us to be a part of His mission in this life, full of purpose, and confident as His sons and daughters. It's a vision we would love for you to explore with us. Church is not just about Sundays, and we aim to see our faith in Jesus impact every part of our lives, and those around us.
