Café 3:16 - Early Shift Year Book Report

Early Shift Cafe 2015 - 600We’ve got a new logo and we made it all by ourselves!!  We needed to make some flyers to give out at the “Hit the High Street” 40 Acts event along with our homemade Easter Biscuits so we decided to have an over-haul.  We will leave some on the Information Table in the foyer at Somervale so you can use them to invite your friends along to the Town Hall on a Friday morning for the “friendliest coffee in town!!”
We have seen a few old faces (not old, old but friends from the past!) return on a Friday which has been wonderful.  We are always amazed that people choose to spend an hour and a half of their precious day off with us (well, we know it’s not us but the free cake that draws them in, but we don’t mind!!)
We will be inviting them along to the Alpha Course that starts in a couple of weeks and hopefully, by the time you read this, we will have had a few takers! Please pray for us that we will have regular opportunities to talk about our faith during our café sessions.
An encouragement this term has been that one of the ladies who told us when we first met her that she had no interest in God and even said, Don’t talk to me about God!”, is now sending her child along to one of the mid-week groups on a Wednesday!
Remember that you are always welcome to join us on Fridays 8:30am  - 10am during term time as we would love to see more church regulars make the most of this outreach opportunity!

Welcome

Who are we?

members
We are a church of people from all walks of life who share the common goal of following Jesus and being open about Him with others in our everyday lives. The church is vibrant with lots going on for people of all ages and backgrounds. We’re engaged in local and global mission, and passionately believe that every person has a part to play. We follow Christian Bible teaching, believing it’s through a loving relationship with Jesus Christ that we can experience life in its fullest and have the security of knowing we’ll live forever with God.

We’re part of the local Baptist Association and we are members of the Evangelical Alliance, and regularly connect with the local Churches in our area for prayer and community outreach.

Head to our 'What's on' tab to check out how you can get involved with us.

What is our vision?

We are a Church with a clear vision. It's sourced in the Bible and expressed in these simples phrases:

Coming up images
The 'how' we do these things is a bigger story and one you can learn about by checking out other pages on our site. God has called each of us to be a part of His mission in this life, full of purpose, and confident as His sons and daughters. It's a vision we would love for you to explore with us. Church is not just about Sundays, and we aim to see our faith in Jesus impact every part of our lives, and those around us.
