15873134144b9ddac8939zLighthouse Drama Year Book Report

Lighthouse have had a busy year, with the Sketch Show during Nfest 2014 and the panto 'Mother Dodo' in January 2015, both of which were received very well.  We have also performed a few sketches during services throughout the year (joining with some Methodist thespians at Easter). Our core group is a little smaller than it used to be, with members being taken up with demanding jobs, university, and children, but we enjoy our times together, and really feel like family - especially when working on the panto!  We are hoping to put together another Sketch Show for Nfest 2015, so if anyone has any favourite sketches they would like to suggest we have a look at, please let us know as soon as possible.  There are also ideas for another panto in the pipeline!  We would be happy to see new people get involved with the group.  Throughout the year we meet once a month on a Monday evening, except when working on a big project, when it can be weekly.  We have a lower age limit of 16, but would advise that anyone under 18 needs to be aware that rehearsals can go on late, and that transport and school work deadlines can sometimes be issues. Please pray for us over the next year - for inspiration, energy, memory (well, for some of us!), and a continuing desire to use our gifts for fun, to teach, to entertain, to point people to Jesus and ultimately in everything, to glorify God.

Welcome

Who are we?

members
We are a church of people from all walks of life who share the common goal of following Jesus and being open about Him with others in our everyday lives. The church is vibrant with lots going on for people of all ages and backgrounds. We’re engaged in local and global mission, and passionately believe that every person has a part to play. We follow Christian Bible teaching, believing it’s through a loving relationship with Jesus Christ that we can experience life in its fullest and have the security of knowing we’ll live forever with God.

We’re part of the local Baptist Association and we are members of the Evangelical Alliance, and regularly connect with the local Churches in our area for prayer and community outreach.

Head to our 'What's on' tab to check out how you can get involved with us.

What is our vision?

We are a Church with a clear vision. It's sourced in the Bible and expressed in these simples phrases:

Coming up images
The 'how' we do these things is a bigger story and one you can learn about by checking out other pages on our site. God has called each of us to be a part of His mission in this life, full of purpose, and confident as His sons and daughters. It's a vision we would love for you to explore with us. Church is not just about Sundays, and we aim to see our faith in Jesus impact every part of our lives, and those around us.
