Delta Housegroup

  • Who are the leaders?

Clare Green, Jackie James & Sally Kertzman
  • Where and when do you meet?

Thursdays, 9.45am – 11.30am @ Kate's house (from Jan 2020)
  • Who is the group for?

Ladies who want to regularly meet together.
  • What are the main aims of your group?

Delta offers fellowship, confidentiality, practical and emotional support, bible studies, prayer, up to date notices and prayer chains and a place to come and have time out from the busyness to spend with like minded ladies, and of course God.
  • What things have you recently done as a group?

We have been following the Sunday sermons, encouraging housegroup members to take notes and contribute to the group discussion about the topic concerned. It has been good to be in the flow of where the leadership is taking us.  We enjoyed a Christmas social and a chance to chat and laugh together.  We are looking forward to seeing where God is leading us as a group, especially after February half term when Delta will plant a new housegroup - Wellow Brook.

  • What things are you planning to do in the near future?

We want to spend time studying the Word and understanding and applying it to our lives.  Also maintaining connections with our 'plant' housegroup, meeting up for coffee in Wetherspoons each month.

  • What one word could describe your group?

Special!
  • Describe what usually happens during a normal session/meeting?

We start the morning with plenty of chatter and refreshments.  Notices, events, activities, news is shared followed by a time of prayer.  We encourage the whole group to participate in 'open' discussions, reading the Bible and understanding scripture, which is a key part of what we do.  We want to encourage growth and maturing in faith.  We want Delta to be a somewhere you look forward to going, a place where you want to be and prioritising being there.
Our heart for the group is to GROW, both in confidence of knowledge but also in personal holiness. We want to encourage each other to expect and want more, as we seek Him and His will for our lives.
