One Church - 4 Communities
Please note, Welton Communities will not be meeting during February and March but will be reviewed again for April. Welton Communities take place on the first and third Sunday of each month. Our four venues are based in Timsbury, 2 in Farrington Gurney and Paulton. These services start at 10.30am and last for one hour. Our on line services will continue for those unable to meet in person and each community will be listening to the on line preach together so that we continue to have a sense of unity. A great deal of planning and work has gone into making these communities as safe as we can and bookings are essential as we need to know who and how many will be attending each venue in order to plan safe seating etc. If you are not part of Welton Church but would like to attend, please email admin@weltonchurch.org.uk and we can put you in touch with a community leader. For more information please see here.
House Groups
Would you like to join a house group?
We believe that our house groups are an essential part of church life, and even more so during these times. Growing deeper friendships and trust often happens within house groups as well as discipleship. We have lots of different house groups , some for women, some for men, some during the day and others in the evenings. Some meet every week and some meet 'as and when', so we hope that you can find one that suits your needs. All groups are currently meeting on 'Zoom' in line with current guidelines. If you are interested in joining a group or would like more information please contact Clare at: clare.green@weltonchurch.org.uk
Welton Church Runners
As the news bulletins keep coming out urging us not to have unnecessary contact with others it does not feel right to carry on meeting even in twos on a Saturday morning. However, we have an alternative....It is called the Welton Runners Quest. We have searched out interesting places for you to run to and find out the answers to our questions. There are points for each correct answer. To find the locations you will need to download an app called What three words. To take a look at the questions click here. Also to ensure that we can keep track of what everyone is doing I have created a Welton Runners Strava club. This will enable us to encourage others on line with their running. This is not about seeing who can do the most, rather what everyone has been up to. If you need help sorting out a Strava account just let us know. https://www.strava.com/clubs/828684.
Welton Church Runners meet every Saturday, come rain or shine or lockdown, at 9am outside the Somer Centre in Midsomer Norton in line with the current government guidelines. Walkers are also welcome. The only difference during lockdown is that you pair up into 2's beforehand. Please contact Eugene Kertzman for more information (01761 434229).
