Church During Covid

There are many ways to get involved and stay connected at Welton. These are just some of the opportunities available at the present time. Do get in touch if you'd like to know more. We'd love to hear from you.

The Welton@home email is still up and running and fulfilling requests with help for shopping, collecting prescriptions etc... Click here to go to the form.

We are also looking at ways to support those who might be feeling isolated by encouraging the idea of ‘prayer & chat walks’ in pairs around our community. We feel this could be a fruitful time God uses us within our community in an OUT focused way of spending time with another person. If this is something you would like to do, please get in touch and we’ll aim to connect people together in pairs.

We have loved being able to meet in person on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month in four “Welton Communities”. We’re planning to press pause on these after June 20th and to all meet together for “Summer Sundays” (see below). Watch this space if Government Guidance changes.

We are hopeful that restrictions will continue to be lifted and excited at the prospect of being able to all meet in one place on Sundays from 25th July at the Amphitheatre in Midsomer Norton Town Park at 11:00a.m. This will be a time to hang out together, worship, share stories, eat and get inspired by short talks about Jesus.

Go Live ImageEvery Sunday we have our Church service online. These are broadcast on Church Online ( at 10.15am and can also be found on YouTube by clicking here.  Once there, you can subscribe and also see every service since March which include adult and children services (nFest@home).  These will continue to be broadcast over summer.

This is a great place for anyone aged 17-25 to get connected whether you're new to Welton or been around a while.  We have been meeting on zoom every other Saturday evening at 8pm for one hour.  It’s a time to chat, play games and catch up with each other. We know that joining something new can be a bit overwhelming, especially on Zoom, but go for it, we'd really love to see you and you'll soon feel at home. Please contact Becca Yates at

HousegroupWe believe that our house-groups are an essential part of church life, and even more so during these times. Growing deeper friendships and trust often happens within house-groups as well as discipleship. We have lots of different house-groups, some mixed groups, some for women, some for men, some during the day and others in the evenings. Some meet every week and some meet 'as and when', so we hope that you can find one that suits your needs. All groups have been meeting online but many are now also beginning to meet face to face. If you are interested in joining a group or would like more information please contact Clare at

ALSO N'fest Online - This is for children aged 4 - 11 and is broadcast on our YouTube channel (click here) at 9.30am every Sunday. It is packed with fun activities, dancing with Disco Dave, experiments with Professor Kev, Bible teaching and so much more!

Watch out for our online and live N’fest events advertised through social media for all 4 to 11 year olds, where you can book in to be part of the fun!

When Communities are on (which is the first and third Sunday of each month), children aged 4 - 11 will get to enjoy half an hour of fun with learning about the Bible, games, crafts and lots of other things.  The children will need to be signed in by a parent in the same way we sign in for our Sunday Communities (see above).

This is for children aged 7 years old to year 4 in school.  Dynamos currently meets every week with Superchargers in person, where we aim to have fun, socialise and explore a biblical nugget of truth each week.  Please email if your child would like to be a part of this so we can add you to the group communications  as weekly updates go out with the arrangements. Care notes  are  delivered each term to let the child know they are thought of and to help them feel connected.  To stay within child guidelines we ask that all parents complete a consent form which can be found here.

This is for children in school years 5 and 6.  Superchargers currently meets every week in person, where we aim to have fun, socialise and explore a biblical nugget of truth each week. Please email if your child would like to be a part of this.  For those children that would like to take part in Superchargers but are not so comfortable on zoom, please still contact us.  Care notes  are  delivered each term to let the child know they are thought of and to help them feel connected.  To stay within child guidelines we ask that all parents complete a consent form which can be found here.

This group is for children from school year 7 to age 14.  Voltage meet every Wednesday in term time, usually at the Town Hall in Midsomer Norton from 7.00pm until 8.30pm. The theme is games, fun and laughter and lasts about an hour.  It’s been great for children to meet like this and have fun together.  If you would like your child to attend please click here to fill out a consent form and then email for more information.

For ages 14 – 18, Ignite are currently meeting in various outdoor spaces (or on zoom if it’s wet) every Friday at 7.30pm. This is a space to hang out, chat, have fun, eat snacks, play some games and enjoy each other’s company. Jesus gets a mention from time to time because we think he’s amazing and we’d love you to get to know him!  If you’re interested in coming along, please click here to fill out a consent form and then email Lots of love, Sarah & Scott.

Welcome. We're glad you're here
Whether you've just moved to the area or have lived here all your life - we hope our website helps you find out everything you want to know about Welton Baptist Church.
We are a Church with a clear vision.  It’s sourced in the Bible and expressed in 3 simple phrases.  Disciple Making (Matthew 28 v 19), Church Planting (2 Timothy 2 v 2) and World Reaching (Acts 1 v 8).
At this time, we have taken the decision to stop our usual meetings, in line with Government guidance, yet we still have lots going on and welcome you to check out our page:
